Our Travel Grants Fund was created to help remove the cost of travel as a barrier for Arts Projects and Theme Camps that wish to attend KindleArts events; especially the cost barrier associated with ferry travel.
The Travel Grants Fund will typically help with the costs of one large or critical vehicle/trailer combo that is essential to your project. This should help reduce the expense gap that is typically borne by a single individual to get a major project to the event.
It is not intended to cover personal vehicles that would otherwise be attending the event regardless of their project status. Otherworld ticket pricing is already structured to pay attention to travel costs and keep personal vehicle travel for carpooling reasonable.
Please note:
– Travel grants are not open for projects that have already applied for travel funding through the arts grant program.
– You cannot receive additional directed tickets by applying for or receiving a travel grant. You must be registered and confirmed as attending the event to qualify.
Travel grants are paid out post-event and only upon delivery of receipts. They only cover three things: gas, ferries, and vehicle rental.
A total of $20,000 is currently available between all applications.
