IMBY – In My Back Yard

IMBY is a free public interactive arts showcase and weirdness extravaganza in Centennial Square on May 4th, run by The Kindle Arts Society.

This event will be taking place on the unceded Coast Salish Territory of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ nations.

The event is based around the 10 principles of Burning Man, including decommodification. It is independent artists and performers showing off what they do, because they want to. Bring your own snacks because you can’t buy food (radical self-reliance!).

IMBY consists of art projects. Mostly stuff that you can touch, climb, taste, and feel, with stage performances from 2pm to 10pm, with a fire show.

No tickets or gate, drop by whenever you can.

We need 50-100 volunteers to make the event happen. No one is paid to work on IMBY – not even the head of the production team or the board of directors of KindleArts. Whether it’s your first event or you’re super experienced, we’d love your help.
